Sopa Fideo (Macaroni Soup- from Velma and Alice)

This recipe serves 4 to 6.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup oil
3 cups Fideo (Fine cut macaroni)
4 cups water
salt to taste
1 can tomato sauce
2 tbsp garlic salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground oregano
1/2 tsp black pepper

In heavy pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add Fideo. Cook, stirring constantly until toasted.

Stir in tomato sauce and spices. Add 4 cups water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.

Cook, covered, for 10 minutes or until Fideo is tender.
